Dissatisfied with the lid in frying pans

The 2 liter saucepan is very good with one exception: the lid. I found water getting into the grooves between the glass and the metal rim on the lid. I tried shaking it but couldn't get everything out. Apparently this connection is not sufficiently waterproof. I had to go back.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

100% happy with my 3rd Calphalon

Very happy with this 6qt. Dutch Oven Calphalon Premier. My third Calphalon over the years has only used wooden tools and they lasted a long time. My previous 2 Dutch Ovens were only 3 liters and this one, the bigger one, is even more useful - for example for baking large loaves of bread, large portions of chili.

Pros
  • So far so good
Cons
  • Not happy with everything

the bottom isn't quite flat but I like it

Love Calphalon cookware. Usually bought in person from a store but COVID has changed shopping habits. The pan is solid, quite heavy, the only drawback for me is that it has a slightly curved base that loses heat on the electric stove. See attached picture. A gas burner is ideal.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • No instructions

Takes anything you can throw at him.

, I thought the Calphalon stove burned out after leaving the burner on with a pile of thick chicken soup until midnight. No, it was very easy to clean and it still looks and works like new. Since they are quite expensive I don't see why the thickness isn't better than the nonstick pans you can find in stores for a third of the price. That's why I only gave 4 stars.

Pros
  • One Year Trial
Cons
  • Dear

Always meets the need: Cookware

I always choose Calphalon for my everyday dishes. After almost 20 years, my last Calphalon Dutch Oven finally started scratching the bottom too much to warrant storage. Love the new design, it feels solid and well built. Nice addition to my collection. I only gave it 4 stars because it's pretty heavy. This wasn't a problem for me, but I wanted to point this out to anyone who might have trouble handling heavy implements.

  • Great for me

This pot of calfalone is a flop!

I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with this product. It's supposed to be the best in the range, but after two uses and one time in the dishwasher, it's riddled with scratches. The deadline for my return was March 13th, amid the coronavirus. I only use scratch-resistant cookware. I recently purchased Calfalon from Williams Sonoma and have had no problems. I have pictures of all the scratches but can't upload them.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Some defects

The best pot! in cookware

I almost bought a Calphalon Premier pan because of the price. Then I decided I was tired of buying pans whose inner lining chipped and blistered pretty quickly. I love this pot. It cleans up easier than any teflon coated pan I've had. Food doesn't stick to the bottom like other pots do when cooking thick sauces. It's heavier and it took a little while to figure out what temperature works best for each recipe. Once I figured out the right temperature to cook with, cooking in this pot was…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Easy serviceability

not for weak wrists

Quite heavy. The top of the pot measures 8 1/4 inches. The base is about 5 1/2 inches. Too bad for me because the heating surface at the base is really small. When I try to cook with it on a large stove, the heat rises up the sides where I don't want it. When I use it on a medium or small burner, the heat up time is long because it's high. Because the sides taper at such a severe angle, I use it as an extra pot. I struggled to find a rating for this 4.5 but there was almost none. For the price…

Here is a 2 month review (see my first comments below)

Purchased to replace our 10 year old grill pan. Calphalon arrived well wrapped in a nice box. It looks exactly as advertised. The handle is strong and smooth - feels good in the hand. Our old grill pan had a very low rim. It has a nice high brim that helps trap/retain fat. I made bacon in it this morning. My wife commented that it was a good weight - not too heavy compared to our old one. It looks good and feels good. If there was only one comment I could make it would be that I'd rather have a
