Not BPA free; not food safe

I loved using this to enhance some of my rustic bread, but when I received it with a giant "NOT BPA FREE" sticker, I was blown away surprised. Obviously I didn't want to leave my bread for hours and return it.

Pros
  • High marks for hold and shelf life from testers
Cons
  • No instructions

Contains BPA, good for storage and organization

According to the label on the product I received it contains BPA which makes it useless as a 'food storage container'. There is absolutely no reason to choose this product over any other BPA-free product unless you are comfortable ingesting potentially harmful chemicals. I return mine.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • I'm worried

If you bake your own bread, knead it

Wow, I've been making my own bread for years and the recipe I use is great. I've always used a turkey skillet (you know, the oblong blue one). My friend has been using it for years and recommended it. 1) Withstands a lot and leaves no mess when kneaded by hand. 2) So easy to clean when you're done. 3) Clearly marked so you can see when the dough has doubled

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Quick instructions

Ideal multipurpose kitchen container.

My parents worked in the hospitality industry and we regularly had these containers at home to use in the pantry. I wish I had stolen a few when I moved in! They are ideal for storing sugar and flour as well as dried grains and beans. They fold up nicely if you have the vertical space to do so. All covers are interchangeable which is a big plus. Thanks to the nice and thick plastic, these things last forever. I also often use them for rising bread and making sourdough appetizers. They are justโ€ฆ

  • Great for me

The best pancake solution for the home sourdough baker

Recommended by Ken Forkish in Flour, Water, Salt, Yeast. i understand why One bucket for autolysis, blending, folding and fermentation. You can knead enough dough to easily make enough dough for 4 buns at once. Definitely like the clear plastic to measure the blending process and bulk fermentation. Volume markers are extremely useful. Light enough not to use most scales to weigh ingredients. A moisture retention cover must be purchased (I recommend Cambro RFSCWC1213 Round Camwear Cover)โ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Damn stickers don't come off cleanly, oops!

Included in many products, not just this one. Two stickers, one had a bar code on it. You rip them off with your fingernail as best you can. There was glue and scraps of paper left over. Sponge and detergent with hot water, glue stays on the product. A coarser sponge and hot water cleaner will remove the adhesive but scratch the surface of the product, and since they put stickers on the volume indicators, those indicators are gone too. A hackneyed expression, but . . . We sent a man (or ratherโ€ฆ

You should be ashamed of yourself. - Container

I've ordered this before and love it so I gave it another star. My last order arrived pretty scratched. I'm not talking about the little mark that's barely noticeable, but the three spots of the stain were right where the numbers were and they were significantly larger. So I ordered a replacement which came quickly so let's bump it up to 2 1/2 stars. As soon as I opened the new one, I noticed that it was packaged very differently from the previous one and was so badly scratched. The replacement

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Useless features

Nice but very big.

I think most people who buy this probably have "flour, water, salt, yeast" just like me. This is a solid recommendation from the book and I'm glad I have it. However, I have a few comments. First, 12 liters is a lot. For bread baking I'd probably prefer around 8 liters, but I think larger cooking utensils are usually better, so I'll leave that out. Second is the BPA warning that others have commented on. Unfortunately, life with plastic is not always good. If I've kept something for a very long

Pros
  • Beautiful construction
Cons
  • Vulgarity
