You will be satisfied! A real camel cow with a great physique, folks!

as described. This is a mil standard camel bladder with a bite cap and lid. Durable materials, high-quality workmanship and design. I use mine in my Haley Strategic D3C3 plus flat pack. This is perfection!

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Solid product but real PITA for stuffing

Good: strong, odorless, works great once stuffed. Not good: very difficult to unscrew the cap when filling. You have to keep trying to get an airtight seal. Hopefully their engineers can find a more convenient locking method to screw the filler cap onto the bladder.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • boring packaging

Better alternatives

I bought this because I thought it was better than a Platypus bladder and while it looks better it definitely doesn't work any better, filling and emptying is a lot more difficult than other models, the hose is fine but the bite valve doesn't always work well, living with me without being able to drink when I need it. If I could return it I would and definitely do not recommend it.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

It leaked the first time I tried it

it leaked like a faucet when I first filled it. The seal around the lid didn't do anything - just water leaked out. My old camel bladder had the same lid and it worked great so I know not to abuse it. Unfortunately I bought this trail in advance for a planned trip and the return window was closed when I first used it.

Pros
  • just fine
Cons
  • nothing here

The thing is very cool! BUT

Unlike the picture, mine didn't come in green but black I don't care but I was expecting green. The only drawback I see is that my water heats up faster in summer. Haven't tested it yet because I haven't gone out yet, but it seems strong and durable. ALSO, it fits perfectly in Haley's strategic flat pack like it was made for him!

Pros
  • Quality assembly
Cons
  • Not bad

First Day Leak - Backpack Accessory

I ordered this to refill my water supply whilst traveling through the Sokal at PKT. It got into my backpack when it was full of water and leaking. We fiddled with the o-ring and it seemed to hold water, but I couldn't risk my sleepwear getting wet. My friend used a platypus and it hasn't leaked, now I'm trying a hydropack and they both have zips at the top. Maybe that's better. Camleback leaked not the first time, but the last time.

Pros
  • Convenient item
Cons
  • fits

Works well - camping and hiking

This is my first reservoir that I have ever bought/used. I would probably buy a 2 liter bag if I was really thinking about it when I bought it. I live in a tropical climate and carry a heavy backpack with cameras when I hike. The addition of a hydration pouch really made the comfort more convenient compared to carrying water bottles. The only downside I see is the plastic taste of the first few water bags. When traveling in a warm climate, you need water. The convenience of a hydration pack is…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Zero

Milspec are definitely the ones to get.

If you need to replace your camel tank/competitor cam these milspecs will definitely suit you. We just replaced our old cameras with these before a week long trip through the Utah desert. Hot, sandy, durable. They've held up amazingly well. The hose has a nice covering, a shut-off valve and a quick connector. Much better than normal outdoor studies. The plastic is thick and hard. I would definitely recommend a bit more to get these. The only thing that could make them perfect would be if they…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Having trouble

A key element is missing

I really like these bottles. I bought two for hiking. I like the quick connect hose, it makes refilling much easier. You simply disconnect the tube from the hydration bladder in the pack (or wherever your hydration bladder is located), remove the hydration bladder completely from the pack and refill it. The bladder holds water without a hose attached. The on/off valve is great, as is the bite valve. The large bladder opening is big enough to add ice for cooler water. The hose protector protects

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Expensive
