UPDATE January 2019: Not so good after a year! Poor manufacturer support

Update: not so good after 1 year hence downgrading to 1 star. The screen stopped returning to home soon after it was first powered on. Canon said they had no idea, but if we want to box up this monster and send it back for repairs, they'll look at it. No thanks, it's too hard and dangerous to go down the stairs. Then we made a terrible mistake when we bought toner cartridges direct from Canon, who shipped them with unreasonable dropship restrictions and no on-site holding. When we contacted…

Great printer, expensive toner

This Canon MF731Cdw color laser printer looks great, is incredibly easy to set up and most importantly the image quality is superb for color prints. I was able to plug it in, connect to my wifi and print from my iPhone in less than 5 minutes without having to read any manuals. The color touch screen easily guides you through the entire process. Then I went to windows 10 and added the printer and it found it and added it in seconds. And that even without installing any software for this printer.

Poor wifi and touchscreen

Like some of the other reviewers, I really wanted them to like this printer and it prints well when it prints. First, the wireless connection is very poor. Other wireless devices in the same location will connect to the nearest access point with no problems, but Canon always says the signal strength is "poor" or "very poor". As a result, it is constantly disconnected from the network. How hard is it to fit a decent 802.11 radio? Now I'm having trouble getting something to print and I can't find
