Capezio Classic Sleeve Leotard: Premium Girls' Clothing in Sizes 12-14 Review

It works very little. My daughter, who is a tiny 3T, found it too tight, especially when she pulled it up over her arms and shoulders. Once it was on everything was fine, but as anyone with a newly potty trained toddler knows don't put off potty training. And she didn't want to go because it hurt.

This is an excellent swimsuit in terms of quality and thickness. But it was very small for my average sized 3 year old. She complains that the seams on the neck and sleeves "itch" and doesn't want to wear them for very long. I would buy it again but I need a size up.

This swimsuit is more like a swimwear material, 90% Polyester/10% Spandex and 90% Nylon/10% Spandex, the crotch is not even cotton.

This swimsuit is excellent quality and true to size. My daughter needed one for a dance recital. I ordered two different ones and ended up sending the other one back and keeping this one for myself.

It's a bit tight, she probably won't be able to wear it when she's having a growth spurt. It's between 2T and 3T, I bought the size they suggested. It's cute and perfect for her first dance class.

Bought 2 of these in our size and although they both came in bags only one had a tag. The one with no tag was clearly worn and smelled of washing powder. What a terrible person to return something used. Those getting a refund should actually take things out of their bags and examine them before trying to sell them again.

I really like the material, the cut, the color and everything, but the girl's size is too small for my 11 year old. She only weighs 65-70 pounds but is 4ft 9 inches tall and L which is 12-14 is too short from her armpits to her crotch. Such a shame. I tried to order twice thinking I'd get XL but L is the largest size. Good. I chose the women's XS and it fits me perfectly.

I took the size for my daughter and it was very tight and small on her. (She is a petite child.) The leotard was excellent quality and thick material, but too small to wear for 6 months of gymnastics.

Quality swimsuit, we ordered a medium size and it fits my daughter well with a little more room to grow. She is a size 6/6X.

My daughter wears size 12-14. I bought this size but it's not enough for her. Do not take large sizes with you. She's only 10. Does that mean I should get her an adult swimsuit?

My daughter wears a 14 in Bloch but L was too small on this Capezio Leo. It has no lining or underwired bra, but the quality feels comfortable.

I have about two of them at 12 but one fits true to size and the other fits like it's the wrong fit. Maybe the other one was a fake or a factory defect, but for the most part this nonsense is good. The quality is pretty strong and the color was vibrant. I need to buy another royal blue and see if there is a difference.

size up. I bought the 2-4T for my daughter who is a size 3T and fits her quite snugly and barely goes over her shoulders. 😒 May not be suitable for girls with sensitive skin.

I actually really like the bathing suit, but the size doesn't fit at all. I missed the return date by a day (my fault) and spent another 24 hours trying to figure out how to contact the support team. Now I have a bathing suit that my kid can't wear. I would be very happy if I could return it for a larger size. Please help.

We needed a plain leo with sleeves and it was a good price from a well known brand. Unfortunately it is quite scratchy and not my daughter's favorite. However, we require it to comply with the dress code, so we will keep it.

These lions are very cute. They have a dense material and a comfortable lining. My teenager is comfortable in this Capezio Leo, unlike the cheaper version which is thin and silky.

Perfect! Just go up a size. My granddaughter usually wears a size 10 even though she is 13. A size 12/14 fits her well so the TU could go up a size or two. We bought another brand and this fabric is much better (not super shiny - we don't want super shiny)

The cut is slim but slips on easily and stays in place even if it's a little long (room to grow!). Lined on the front but not on the back but definitely not transparent. Perfect for a little girl - not too high on the hips or low on the top and stays in place. We'll just keep buying it as it grows!

I also read a lot of reviews and was concerned about what size to order for my petite 2.5 year old girl. I have absolutely no experience in dancing so wasn't sure if leotards would naturally run small etc. I chose 2-4T for the leotard. I also ordered a small Capezio Tactel zip skirt. For some reason I was expecting a more 'shiny' nylon/spandex (typical swimsuit material) but it's a very soft, good weight stretchy cotton material that isn't too hot for a spring/summer dance without being see through at all, heavy enough to look like it will hold up well in the wash and I'm not worried about that.
