It's nice to be able to just rip these nuts off.

Got them as a Christmas present. I use an 80 ft-lb stick. for preloading the cleats on my autocross machine. I often change wheels. The 80 ft-lb handle gives me a consistent 76-78 ft-lbs with my battery powered stun gun, allowing me to tighten the lugs to 85 with a torque wrench. It's really nice to be able to just snap these nuts off and not have to worry about over tightening due to impact.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Not for cordless impact wrenches

Seems like a great tool for air hammers but I couldn't get them to work with a cordless impact wrench. The wrench has enough torque to tighten my 140-pound cleats, but all of the bars (even the 60) turned a lot more than they should. I've read elsewhere that torsion bar electroshocks don't work well. The customer service at etools is amazing. The money was returned to me with a smile. I will deal with them again. Thank you Isabelle

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Useless features

Good Cheap Torque Sticks

They really do what they are supposed to. Torsion bars have so far handled both with no issues. They have been professionally applied and have been used to tension over a thousand fasteners over the past few months. These are primarily 80 and 100 ft lb adapters. No signs of wear, just a few scratches from bumps and falls.

Amazing amazing torsion bar set

These torsion bars pay for themselves fairly quickly and save so much time which in my professional opinion makes these bars a more worthwhile investment for nut tightening than a torque wrench. In addition, to ensure the accuracy of the torque wrench, it must be calibrated at least once a month. Calibration is not required for these things! Just put them on your pistol and knock them off. I've tested them for accuracy with a recently calibrated truck brand torque wrench (SO) and these things…

Works exactly as advertised

Torque readings seem to be accurate to within a few foot-pounds at a time and they fit snug enough not to fall off my impact wrench while not causing any pain when pulled. . Just make sure you use them on a traditional hammer based impact model and not a clutch based model. I can confirm they are not accurate with the clutch model. I think that's because the hammer applies force more or less instantaneously, while the clutch spreads the force over a few milliseconds. It doesn't seem like a huge

Precise, comfortable fit and finish well made body

Capri torsion bars are quality tools in terms of fit and finish including a well finished body and tested to a high degree of accuracy. I tested all of the torque bars with a 1/2" TQFR250E manual torque wrench with 40-250 lb-ft Snap On. The Capri brake bars were +/- 2-5 lbs under their rating, what a budget set this really is is good. The 140lb stick actually weighed 135lb, which is better than 145lb as breaking off the lugs is a real pain.I used two percussion pistols for testing: a brand new…

Protect your wheels.

This is a good set of torque bars at a good price; And they are in a case. I don't use them that often, but I never want to over-tighten lug nuts. I use a 20V IR illuminator (also available from Revain). I haven't compared their torque rating to my son's higher end wrenches as there are plenty of other reviews that have done so and they all report decent results; so I took her word for it. With my limited use I don't see where I will ever need a 10 stick set and it's not for the price of 10…

Slightly inaccurate but very handy for lug nuts

I use 65 lbs - ft on the drive lug nuts glue. With my setup they go up to 90 lb-ft which is good enough. It's much quicker to just screw them all the way in rather than stopping for fear of overtightening and then dealing with a torque wrench. Is it worth the money? Hm. All I really need is a torque bar. But you don't really know what it's up to without testing it first. So what if I bought a 90lbf stick only to find it was spinning something I don't need? You basically have to buy the whole…

Five stars for the best wrenches

Looks good hope they last and are accurate. I will update my post with the results. I'll update my post after testing them with a torque wrench. I tested the 80 ft-lb extensions at full power with a Milwaukee Fuel M18 1/2 impact wrench. When I rechecked the lug nut torque, I saw that they clicked consistently between 80 and 85 ft.lbs. In testing I had a nut click at 90. Furthermore, even on the packaging there is a big warning to check torque settings with a torque wrench. Doesn't that defeat…
