Amazing brand with great results :)

I think all pencil artists should have these pens. In my opinion this is the best brand on the market. They move very easily and blend even better. They don't scratch the paper which gave me much smoother transitions. A bit pricey but worth it. A must-have tool for the professional pencil artist. I love them more than cake. Wow! 🤩🙌🏾💞

Pros
  • Trial for one year
Cons
  • Disappear

The standard that everyone else compares to

As drawing pens evolved, I realized that these pens left little to be desired. They're more expensive, which is why I haven't tried them, which in hindsight looks pretty silly considering they're still the cheapest tool to work with. Why not use the best? They are smooth as silk, well graded, color coded, while softer strippers hold up and sharpen well. What's not to like?

  • a good thing

Amazing pencils. Big difference to the budgets.

I switched from a set of Revain and Derwent pencils (poor quality) and this is a real deal. They are thicker and create amazingly creamy lines on the softer side of the range. I'm new when it comes to more expensive pencils but I was blown away by the difference. The tube seems like a good idea, but finding a pencil sucks. I had a run from another set that I use instead. I wish they came in a flat tin.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Excellent product for pencils

Caran D'ache - the best pencils! The lead stretches smoothly, has no rough, grainy texture, breaks easily and stays sharp. These are the best pencils I have. The gray scale is accurate, unlike other sets where, for example, 4b is as dark as 6b. The mine is a bit thicker than Tombows or Faber Castell and the pencil is comfortable to hold. The cylindrical tin was initially awkward to find pencils, but is very convenient to carry and perfectly protects these trinkets in a backpack or fanny pack.

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging

Surprised to receive an empty glass, no pins

This review is really about order fulfillment. I received an empty open jar (no lid). I am currently going through the exchange/refund process and will update this review if everything goes smoothly. I have not found a better pencil than Caran d'Ache Grafwood to draw on the product. As a hobby I create photorealistic drawings and have tried all known brands. I've never met another pencil that applied so smoothly, blended and erased so easily, and sharpened so well. As expected the Bs are very…

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Great lead and wood quality but only a decent finish

I'm not a professional artist but art is in my blood and I know the difference in quality. I've bought a Faber Castell Gold Faber, a regular Staedtler Mars Lumograph (blue) and recently a Derwent Graphic hoping they would be my best artist pencils. But derwent is far behind other brands. Then I tried this one and now I can confirm the claims that it's better than other brands, it's not the price, the price never influences my opinion about things, it's really high quality! Next to the Staedtler

Pros
  • Unique pewter tube set
Cons
  • Something different

I really wanted to like these pens.

I didn't expect these pencils. I had read rave reviews about them so I was dying to try them and I just expected them to be my favorite pencil, but my experience was very different from what I had read about. They scratch when I sharpen them, wood chips, leads sometimes break when I sharpen them and they're just not very comfortable to use. I've tried Derwent, Lyra, Tombow, and Faber-Castell with mixed results, but I'm genuinely surprised and saddened that these are my least favorites. However,

I really like these pencils

I really like these pencils. I'm not much of an artist but I use graphite all the time and have several other kits including the Faber Castell 9000, Mitsubishi Hi Uni and Staedtler. These are my favourites. I love their size (slightly larger than usual), I love how they are custom tinted depending on the level, and I love their incredible smoothness. The 4H is going to be very light and in my experience only the Mitsubishi 10H is lighter in a Mitsubishi kit. The only thing I don't care about…
