This is a great looking rug. I broke the latch after a few rows but that may have been my fault. This is the first hook clasp rug I've made and I may have been a little rough with the clasp hook. This was the first snap hook set I've made in a long time! Don't follow the pattern printed on the canvas, it will only annoy you, I promise haha. I have always followed the chart on the paper provided, no it is not color matched and is black and white with symbols for each colour. I bought this kit for my parents when they were stuck at home. My dad has been making latch hook kits for years. Our whole family has examples of his work. This set makes him tear his hair out. There is no pattern on the back. The back is plain white with blue lines running across and down to form smaller squares. Yarn isn't divided into colors, and if you spend hours separating colors yourself, nothing tells you which color of yarn to put on the canvas. That's how you see it in the picture…
