The curved covers around the optic work well but feel brittle and not very soft. I only use it when I need both hands, otherwise I just hold it like a regular magnifying glass. The magnification is great and the smartphone adapter is definitely worth checking out.

I liked the different magnifications and cell phone adapter for microphotography, but I had a hard time keeping the eyecups in my eyes as they slipped out. But maybe something is wrong with my technique or muscle strength? (I doubt it) What I particularly liked was that the cups completely block outside light so you can focus solely on what you're seeing and not get distracted by movement and shadows in the periphery!

I don't have any Colonel Blade stuff so it's a bit difficult for me to pinch it in place to keep it in place. So I usually just bring it to my eye.
