You don't go to bed.

This is a great breathable material but it does NOT stay up. They end up like wrinkled socks. They don't give anything either. I really wanted to like them, but I can't recommend them. Of course there are better products.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Quality

They did their job; Our horses didn't bother us.

You did the job; Our horses were not bothered by flies on their legs. However, we don't know why there are only 2 legs in the set, because horses have 4 legs! There are some signs of wear and tear and we're not sure they'll last long enough for Season 2.

Pros

Cons
  • Sparse Instructions

Great product quality but requires extensions

Well I like Cashel quality but this is the second product I have bought for my Halflinger/Belgian mare that needs extensions. To do this, they need four, which means another 20.00. I personally think that extensions or velcro that go through the hoof should be 2-3 times as long.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Long delivery time

In general, it's good that the horses don't trample on flies.

Overall I like this product and it really keeps the horses from pounding so much during the racing season. However, I would design them with horizontal rather than vertical velcro to make the fit more adjustable. The presence of elastic bands on the Velcro is useless. I have to replace them every year as they ruin them but this is one of the best out there. I also like that they are narrower so they don't ride up too much.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Upgrades available

Works great on my Dutch Warmblood during a hot Savannah summer!

To be honest, given how good my horse is at removing bandages, mosquito masks etc, I half expected that when I came back after his first few days he wouldn't be wearing these knee pads to wear them. But they held up great, didn't slip and the feet are in good condition. The leg pads (Warmblood size) fit him well and are adjustable (good velcro placement in several places on the pads). I am very happy with them! At first he wasn't keen on them, but now he handles mistakes much better.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

My horse is very unpretentious in clothing - he doesn't tear sheets or gaiters. But she doesn't really like boots on her feet, especially on the back. I think she's uncomfortable with flying boots because she has "hanging locks" that make each boot sit weird. The size of these Cashell horses was too small for their hind legs, but because of their lowered pasterns I can't really position them with their fetlocks in the right place. If I don't worry about that and arrange them the way they should
