***UPDATED REVIEW****

My cats love this Scratcher- they use it all the time, on their backs, chins, & anything else that is itching. Great Purchase! - UPDATED REVIEW- Was great while it lasted- Already broken- didn't last but a few weeks!

Pros
  • B0751BSRR2
Cons
  • May not stay in one place if cat is particularly active

Great value for the money!

It was a great value for the money. I keep it on a covered porch and it’s been great thus far. Some of the cats like to lie under it and others like to use it for it’s intended purpose (scratching themselves). Even though it’s not rated for outdoor use it has held up great.

Pros
  • The bristles on the arch are made from high-quality material and are soft enough to avoid hurting your cat's skin while still effectively removing dirt and dead hair
Cons
  • May not be able to stand up to rough play

Cat will either love it or ignore it. Cause cats do that.

Bought one for my mom some years back, her cats love it and use it often. Bought one for my cats, it is completely ignored. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • This product is suitable for both indoor and outdoor cats, making it a versatile and practical addition to any pet owner's arsenal
Cons
  • May be too bulky to store in some homes

Cat likes it! in my review

That cat likes the brush whether in the flat piece which holds it to stand or if its loose from the flat piece with the brush laying on the ground. Either way he likes it. My original had much stiffer bristles which really got the loose hair out.

Pros
  • Pet Supplies
Cons
  • May not be visually appealing to some cat owners

One cat really likes it. Others don’t care. Good buy.

This is bigger than I expected and I like that it is. My cat can comfortably sit under the arch. The base is wide enough to keep it upright even if the cat is rubbing or chewing on it. The brush arch pushes down into the base through two holes and it will occasionally come out after several uses. It’s easy to fix but the underside of the base doesn’t allow for me to permanently secure the brush to it unless I glue the brush into the holes of the base. One of my cats uses this every day to rub…

Pros
  • Hollypet
Cons
  • May not work with all types of flooring

Great item, but comes apart easily when being used

It's a great size and does the job. Unfortunately, the base is too light and tips over easily. Also, the biggest issue is that the brush comes out of the holes in the base very easily, especially when a cat rubs up against it.

Pros
  • My Cat loves it! He gets instant gratification by grooming himself when I’m away or at work.
Cons
  • Cat rubbed up on it and it broke on him within a week

My cat absolutely loves this item, but I am not totally thrilled with the quality of the product. The item does not stay together well and we have had to resort to super gluing the brush posts into the base in hopes that it will stay together. Still waiting to see if this resolves the problem of the item staying together.

Pros
  • Just what I was looking for to replace an old one.
Cons
  • Already broken. The cat barely touched it

Buy this version of this product.

I ordered this for my cat because the Purrfect Arch product was his favorite thing ever. This was the sturdiest version of this product I have ever purchased. I never minded paying about 20ish dollars for these cheap things because my boy was completely in love with it. Buy this one, the plastic was stronger and the pipe cleaner portion was literally the same. Bonus: none of the rubber feet came off of this one on my carpet either.

Pros
  • My cats are only looking at the arch I have 4 cats. I have been pushing them through
Cons
  • May need to be replaced frequently if heavily used

great toy for multi cat houses

my cats at first just tried to eat this, im assuming it feels like its brushing their teeth. i sprinkled catnip around the base to get them using it and they don't hate it.

Pros
  • The Cat Arch Self-Grooming Brush Toy is designed to mimic the natural arching movement that cats make when scratching. This helps to encourage self-grooming behavior in your cat
Cons
  • May not work with all cat breeds

the kittens LOVE it.but broke it

it is good but if your cats are rough they will likely break it. One good HOP by one of my kittens and it snapped the base. But they do love the brush.

Pros
  • August 22, 2017
Cons
  • May not provide enough of a massaging sensation for some cats

very cheap made on my review.

I have a a medium house cat that weighs between 10 and 20 lbs if this last a month I will be shocked. came in a brown cardboard box with no markings no directions on putting it together . and a little tiny clear plastic bag of what I assume was cat nip since I did not know for sure and it did not look like the cat nip my cat has I tossed it down the drain (hope I do not have plumbing issues) I am not unhappy with the product ,but was shocked at the unmarked box .

Pros
  • Using this product on a regular basis will help improve your cat's overall coat health and reduce shedding
Cons
  • May become a source of frustration for cats who cannot figure out how to use it

It is nice on my review.

I try cat nip on every thing still won't take to it. Buy when you kitty is little so he/she can get use to it May not provide enough coverage for cats with larger body types!

Pros
  • Hollypet's Cat Arch Self-Grooming Brush Toy is a great investment for busy pet owners who want to maintain their cat's coat health without the hassle of daily grooming
Cons
  • May not provide enough coverage for cats with larger body types

Tighten the compression nut

My cat loved this groomer right out of the box! She was so aggressive, though, that the brush kept coming out of the base. When my husband got home from work, I asked if he could put some kind of glue in it. Two minutes later, he had it fixed. He says this is a compression nut that you tighten with your fingers (a wrench would probably break it) on to the metal ends of the brush. The look on his face said what he didn't dare say out loud. In my defense, there were no instructions included.

Pros
  • Hollypet's Cat Arch Self-Grooming Brush Toy is here to take your feline's grooming game to the next level
Cons
  • May not provide enough friction to effectively remove shedding hair

Cat loves this but it isn't really sturdy

My cat is obsessed with this! He absolutely adores it. The only downside is that it comes apart pretty easily. I'm going to have to gorilla glue the brush part into the pegs to make sure it doesn't keep detaching.

Pros
  • Just might need to reglue the rubber at the end of the metal. cat pulled them off and out quite easily.
Cons
  • May not be effective in removing all hair from cat’s coat

Snapped Immediately

My cat loves these conceptually but the base is never sturdy enough. I dropped a couch cusion on this one within the first month and it bent the bristles, and snapped a hole in the base. This keeps happening. With this type of toy. Shame.

Pros
  • Cat likes it. Bristles could be a bit more firm but one of mine use it
Cons
  • My cat broke the brush off after a couple weeks.

Fun to watch my cat using it!

It took awhile for one of my cats to warm up to the brushes. However it is really fun to watch her use it. The only thing I would suggest if you purchase this is to possibly screw a heavier piece of plywood or something to the bottom. It can easily be pushed around which makes it more difficult for the cat to use.

Pros
  • Multi-Use. Cat self groomer & massager all in one, cat groom brush, scratcher pad and play toy, your lovely cats and kittens can walk through the arch and brush itself or grind claws, keep entertained for hours.
Cons
  • May take up significant space in the room

My cat loves it!: my feedback

My cat loves her brush arch. After her nap she finds her arch, brushes her teeth, by chewing on the bristles then rubs her neck and side of her face on it then has her breakfast! It works well! I’m not sure what "stretch” means as it isn’t supposed to stretch. It’s a hard wire arch with bristle brush around it. It’s a good product. If your cat likes that. My other cat has no use for it. So.that’s cats for ya! Lol!

Pros
  • With this product, you won't have to worry about your cat scratching up your furniture or any other valuable items in your home
Cons
  • May not be suitable for cats with allergies

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not sturdy. Too lightweight

This item broke. Like others have stated, you need to glue the ends down into the wood. It broke within an hour. Also, it moves around because it is light weight. Base shouldBe weighted. . I wedged it up against a wall and a table. Not what I really wanted.

Pros
  • The Cat Arch Self-Grooming Brush Toy is ideal for multicat households. It can hold up to several cats using it at once and is perfect for those days when you're too busy to groom them individually
Cons
  • May break easily if not cared for properly

More flimsy than fun.

This could’ve been a hit, except the base was too flimsy to provide any resistance when my cats rubbed against it and the brush kept coming out of the holder. Great invention but poor design. My cats couldn’t use it. Invest a little more and buy one with a heavier (wood) base and better design.

Pros
  • My cats love it they all want their turn on it
Cons
  • My cat won’t use it I’m sure it would work good if he would use it I don’t think it rakes his hair good

only after catnip - my new review

My cats were not at all interested in this brush until I sprayed it with MRH catnip hydrosol. Now they fight over who gets to use it. It is cheap looking and moves around on our hardwood floors. Needs to have some grippers attached at the bottom in order for cats to groom without sliding around. But my cats approve so thats why I give this 4 stars.

Pros
  • Catnip Bag. The hair-rubbing contains a cat mint, arch bottom has a small hole area that can be placed catnip. Cats like catnip very much, so that it will always play it.
Cons
  • May not work well on uneven surfaces
