I'm used to a much smaller and more functional fin hook. The handle and hook are large enough to allow the user to flip the logs in the fire (unless they aren't long enough). I kept it because it wasn't worth sending back.

I'm a fan of woodturning hooks! Smaller hooks are great for ribs and steaks, but with heavier cuts of meat like brisket or pork loin, smaller hooks sometimes tear and pull the meat out. A lot of t-shirts are ruined by the rib cage on my shirt! This hook is perfect and strong enough for big cuts. Great product and everyone needs two hooks!

I looked at a few of them not knowing if I wanted to use them and settled on this one. I'm glad I did! They're simple enough, so look at the size and what you're going to move with them, and that's all there is to it. As long as the steel rod goes all the way through the handle it's strong enough, the tip is incredibly sharp and should last a long time. And yes, it has become a common grilling and smoking tool.
