The installation was very easy and straightforward, and it works very smoothly with the rest of my car's systems. The only drawback is that it may be slightly expensive for some customers, but it is definitely worth the investment for long-term benefits..

Perfect replacement

Used it to rebuild an old Merc 50 and it worked perfectly. If you're looking for an ignition block, you'll see some of these for $45-$300. It's worth getting compared to cheaper ones but I don't know if I would go OEM as the only difference between CDI and CDI is With OEM parts you need a ground wire for the CDI as it's plastic and not plastic metal is. CDI support is also provided if you encounter problems.

Pros
  • Mercury/Mariner Ignition Unit
Cons
  • Clarity
