Look elsewhere for a different brand.

I have changed filters from the Nissan brand and filters from several other manufacturers without any problems. Yes, the method is strange for a quest, but there are enough videos on YouTube to get a good understanding of the process. Fram instructions are no good when driving a Nissan for the first time. However, this Fram filter fell out of the box. The side parts detached from the folded filter cloth. I did a hot glue repair to avoid return issues and time delays. But I will not buy this…

Fits Altima 2009 - Cabin Air Filter

Bought for our 2009 Altima and it works great. It's a fairly simple installation, unscrew the 8 screws for the glove box, pull out the glove box, pull out the white latch, place the glove box on the mat, slide the cabin air filter cover (behind the radio), remove the old filter, pinch and insert the center of the new filter, then reverse the remaining steps. There are some great videos on YouTube on changing cabin air filters for better understanding. Our oil change shop charged $100 for a cab…

Instructions were inadequate

The instructions supplied were incorrect for the 2013 Murano Platinum - no screws to remove the glove box. After much searching I found the instructions for the 2013 Pathfinder cabin air filter which is the most compatible - access after removing the passenger step strip. In order to pull out the old bastard filter - on your knees you try to squeeze under the dashboard, the filter does not slip out - you have to literally rip it out. The new filter has lousy instructions - the filter should…

Nissan wanted $59. I did it for $14 and 10 minutes.

The Nissan Service Center wanted $59 for this filter for my wife's 2014 Murano. They took the old one off, but it was dirty, and showed it to me. I thought the cost was high so I said no thanks. In the waiting room at Nissan, I ordered it from Prime for $14 and received the filter two days later. You don't need any tools for Murano. The carpet to the left of the passenger's feet must be removed. Just start on the side of the engine and remove a piece of carpet about 3 feet long. There are four…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • So-so

So the filter itself is excellent, well made and good quality. Really really top notch! That being said, I had to listen to everyone saying they're a slut to install/replace them. Because they were right! At first I thought I could do this without removing the glove box, but quickly found I couldn't. In fact, I was able to remove the cap and pull out the old filter before removing the glove box because I realized I couldn't put a new one in without removing the glove box. So I removed it, but…

Fits on my 2012 Nissan Maxima SV despite installation.

Matches my 2012 Nissan Maxima SV perfectly, although the setup was a royal PITA. However, it was worth it to save on merchant fees. **UPDATE January 29, 2018** - Photos added. At this point I have come to the conclusion that these filters, either by Fram's design or because they have incorporated odor neutralizing particles (or both), are too stiff to be squeezed to fit the hole in the Maxima. 7th generation or disable them. The car was due to be replaced again but when I tried to pinch the…

It filters the air!

I have a 2008 Nissan Altima and a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder. Although Revane said it would go well with the Pathfinder, I was a bit skeptical after reading the reviews. So I decided to buy one, try it in my Pathfinder and if it doesn't work I'll just use it in my Altima. First, let me say that Nissan's design of the cabin air filter "holder" leaves a lot to be desired. The filter is a little tricky to access, although it's much easier on the Pathfinder than on the Altima. The filter is pocketable…
