I purchased a cable from this brand hoping it would work better than other brands I've tried. Based on my observations, this cable didn't make a positive difference in my computer's performance. The cable was also very stiff and difficult to work with.

I changed it to black before shipping as it looked better and is good quality. I use it to connect an outdated digital music interface to a new computer and it works great. Haven't tried using the Thunderbolt port with my TB-FW 800 adapter yet, but that part seems solid so far.

that seems to have stood the test of time and is no longer used. typical. USB, Thunderbolt or whatever, they all seem fine for about 3 months before they stop working on one device or another. Firewire, on the other hand, has been around for years - the only reason I bought it is so I can keep the cables attached to my 3.5" external hard drive and CD/DVD burner.
