I absolutely love my chacos; I had the last pair of classic Z1s for about 20 years. I assume they will work just as well. The only problem was that the ratchet strap was too long and had to be taken to the shoemaker to be shortened. Approximately 2-3 inches of strap will stretch when tightened. Shoemaker took a step back to make up his mind. Cheap fix but I didn't plan to spend the extra $12. Great sandals, LOVE THEM even with the extra strap

It is uncomfortable and difficult to adjust the strap properly. While it's said and done like someone with a high arch, these sandals don't fit. I returned them.

I've been buying a new pair of Chacos from my local outdoor store once a year for the past 4 years. I wear them almost every day and treat them very hard, so I like to buy a new pair once a year. This was the first time we've ordered them online (so we could easily get a size up) and either they're made differently or I got a bad batch. The left one squeaks with every step (I've had them for a few weeks now and it's still happening) and the straps on both need adjusting every time I put them…

The straps could not be fully tightened due to the heel strap design. Unable to tighten the entire sandle, the remaining straps came loose and rubbed against the skin. I just spent 20 minutes walking in it and this is what happened. I don't know how everyone else is so lucky, but I guess they're just not for everyone.

A friend of mine has been wearing the Chaco Z2 for years. After a trip to see him again I was convinced to try it. They are so simple, all you have to do is loosen or tighten them. The pressure of your foot as you walk pulls on areas that are too loose or too tight. So they are always perfectly balanced. I can't stand flip flops. I don't like midfoot wrap sandals. I've never felt safe in them. But these, well, there's a reason they're river shoes, not even a river can take them off their feet…

Not available in half sizes so I can't adjust it for a better fit. I still like them, I just need to find a way to bring them together.

I have followed the instructions. You are very uncomfortable. Bad design. This is a fad and that's why people feel like they should like them as much as others. What they don't understand is that people don't honestly say how crappy it is because it's a fad. These are shoes for emperors.

My second pair. I received it quickly and in perfect condition. It worked perfectly for her wild canyoning debut in southern Utah.

I constantly get compliments on the design. I wear them everywhere. My last pair of Chacos lasted me 10 years and have traveled everywhere from a glacier in Alaska to their most recent trip to the Smoky Mountains. I was single for almost two years. I'm so glad they arrived in time for this summer's events. Compared to the comfort, flexibility and durability of Chacos!

I bought these sandals not knowing what to expect. These chacos had excellent support and felt very comfortable. Surprisingly I find them comfortable in warm/hot weather.

These are great sandals. I like the idea of a pull-through harness system. But the arches are very high. It was inconvenient for me to switch from regular slippers to these.

I love the great support in the sandals and the fit is very good. It took a bit of tweaking to figure out how tight the straps should be (not too tight) and how to handle the adjustments. Not much fuss, but worth tweaking all the settings for the perfect fit, support, and comfort. Now I don't want to take them off anymore.

I don't like them because the drawstring is too long. They flap around and hit my knuckles. I love them for the comfort they offer. I have an older pair, part of the insole near the strap started to tear and break. Disappointing about this, especially when they say they last a long time.

I live in a place in the Northwest where these things are fashionable. I bought them because everyone in my town approves of them. They are so ugly and clunky. The toe strap and all the zigzags look a little feminine for my taste (from the guy whose first phone was a pink razor...yeah, what's up). Drinking Pils... but I just can't get over the sight. 10/10 Teva type.

Don't throw away the instructions for tightening and loosening the straps. I've been wearing Chaco for many years, 7th pair, great for plantar fasciitis. When building a new pair I always have to go back and revise the guide. After that everything is fine. I wear them every day of the year as long as the snow doesn't get too deep.

In the summer I live in my sandals, which meant a new pair every year that ended up being frayed, uncomfortable and smelly. No longer. To be honest I checked them out first because a couple of my friends had them, but now I understand why so many people love them. They REQUIRE you to break them in. Don't make the mistake of wearing them all day when you first put them on like I did, but once broken in they are very comfortable and supportive and stay that way. I of course tried them on at my local store a month before buying to make sure I was the right size. I went back to the store to buy and they sold out within a year. So I started searching online, found them here. They are incredibly comfortable! With a little patience and sensitivity, you can adjust the straps to your foot.

These sandals take a bit of getting used to when tightening the straps, but they're so good for rock jumping in WNC rivers and waterfalls. The strap is long but works great! Five stars!

It was a major disappointment. I bought the same size and model as my last pair (bought 2 years ago) and they weren't cheap in comparison! They were a bit smaller and thinner than my last pair; If you compare side by side you can tell they were poorly made. The toe strap on one of the sandals was even slightly offset and not adjustable. I sent them back and am disappointed with the quality.
