Combining 2 OTA Antennas

I needed to combine 2 OTA directional antennas with my scoreboard. We have stations in the Fort Meyers, Florida and Tampa Bay, Florida area that we are monitoring. With our 4-tuner scoreboard, each of us could watch individual stations from each area. However, one of our trees has grown so much that it sometimes causes fallout and pixelation. Rotating the antenna from the "best location" is not an option due to signal quality degradation from stations in the other direction. I bought a secondโ€ฆ

The combiner worked great but only lasted 3 days

In order to be able to receive channels from TV stations in two different directions, I needed something that would allow me to combine the signal from two differently oriented antennas. I received this splitter/combiner on Friday, connected it and could see different stations. Mission accomplished! However, I didn't see anything on TV sometime Monday morning. To fix the problem, I connected the signal from each antenna directly to the TV one at a time. The signal from each antenna wasโ€ฆ

"Combiner " is the best way to connect two antennas

Channel Plus 2532 reversible combiner seems to have solved my problem with connecting two antennas 99%. When I used to use two other splitters to connect two antennas, I had my TV pixelated on two channels at certain times of the day. One of my existing antennas has a short, poor quality cable that connects directly to it and cannot be replaced. This cable is not as good quality as the RG-6 cable and I believe the signal was sometimes affected by interference. I ordered a replacement antennaโ€ฆ

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY. ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY. why are you talking Well I was trying to connect a TV channel to my east while trying to connect other big channels to my west. I spent mocho dollars on an antenna that allows parts of its elements to look in different directions. That didn't work for me. So after reading the papers on how to connect two antennas together, a decision had to be made as to what it took to connect them. Finally found this combiner at Revain, read the reviews and ordered. I didn't have high hopes

Pay attention to the title of this review. Luckily I had a spare male-to-male coaxial cable. If not, place the 2nd order. The above statement is all you need to know as the device works differently. How well this works depends on where you live and the quality of your antennas. The nice thing is that this is a bi-directional signal, you can use either 2 antennas -> 1 TV or 1 antenna -> 2 TVs. In theory, you could also send a cable signal to 2 TVs; I haven't tried it as I don't need itโ€ฆ

Good bidirectional splitter

This bidirectional splitter does the job it was designed to do. It arrived well packaged and on time and appears to be of high quality. I used it as a combiner to connect two antennas to my TV system. I've used it to connect two beam antennas to the same cable to receive stations from two different directions (south and west) and it works great. It's not a magical device though, and unless you know how to set up a dual antenna properly, or live in one of those areas where heavy signalโ€ฆ

I've read a lot about how to combine two antennas into one signal to increase the number and quality of over-the-air channels being received by one of our troubled HDTVs. For those who have tried and failed, and for those who are striving, it is important to understand that the antennas must be identical and their cable lengths into the splitter/combiner must also be equal to avoid phase mismatch of the same incoming antennas to avoid signals. Simply put, you're trying to create synergy, whereโ€ฆ
