Acura from buckets

Buying this bucket is very similar to buying an Acura: you pay for a Mercedes, you drive a Honda. However, Hondas are still great cars, so this bucket is still a great bucket with a BIG plus: it's good for sand protection. While I'm a little disappointed that the kit doesn't have a lid (and that the lid costs the same as the bucket itself), I don't wash my car anywhere but in the driveway, so the lid isn't necessary there anyway. shows the adjustment of the sand protection. Not visible in the…

Great bucket except for the hole in the bottom

Bought one of these Chemical Guys buckets because there was no doubt a separate "garbage filter" element would fit in it. The bucket arrived with a crack at the bottom so the water couldn't hold up. So I just fixed it myself instead of messing around with returns. This is the second time a seriously faulty item has been received in the last few months. It used to be expensive jeans that didn't have a waist tie at all. Strike One: Pants that don't last. Strike Two: A bucket with a hole in the…

CHEAPER direct from their website!

Yes, this is a very expensive bucket. But I can imagine why: 1.) this luxury shipping option and 2.) they account for high Revain fees! So if you want to get it at a lower price, buy directly from their website. I will probably do that the next time I buy one of their products. I just love Prime Delivery. FYI I am in no way sponsored for saying any of this. Overall there's really nothing to complain about, the bucket really is made out of good quality plastic, it's strong enough to push it up…

Nice thick pail Best in car washes

This 4.5 gallon pail from Chemical Guys is the best choice for a 2 pail system. I bought 2 of these, 2 cyclones and 2 caps to complete the system. They are thicker and stronger than regular buckets. The handle is made of strong wire that will not bend or break under full load. These buckets are ideal for cyclonic dirt collectors with no modifications required. They're more expensive than regular buckets in stores, but you pay for what you get and I prefer the full system products from the same…

dear bucket Read reviews!

Dear chemists, but this CG bucket is just a bucket. I should have read the reviews more carefully but for some reason I didn't because it was a cheap item and I always get CG products. For those looking to purchase this, just note: THIS IS A BUCKET ONLY, NO LID AND NO GRIT GUARD. For that reason, if I can get a $5 bucket at home that holds 5 gallons instead of this one which is smaller, it's an expensive bucket. But I figured it should at least be with a lid or sand guard. Who gets water…

You get what you pay for

Although I would make people think the price is ridiculous, the company only sells car cleaning products. So if they need to make a few extra bucks, which given the high quality is most likely a one-time purchase, I don't mind. Bought two, one for clean water, one for dirty water. When you see this bucket up close, you'll quickly realize that this will most likely be your last bucket purchase. It's a heavy material and very durable. It also doesn't scratch easily, so you don't have to worry…

Chemical Guys Mud Flaps Won't fit Chemecial Guys Buckets

Bought because the rest of the family was always stealing my car wash buckets and filling them with dirty garden tools and such. I have a couple of cyclonic mud flaps that work great when placed in a bucket. CG Mudflaps DO NOT fit CG Buckets, they just don't fit a bit. They start to get stuck 3-4 centimeters from the bottom, an attempt to push them further deforms the liner and makes removal almost impossible. It's just terrible quality control, especially when most people are going to be using

This is an expensive bucket without a measuring scale. Cool logo though.

Advantages: - It's a bucket that holds water; always a plus - CG skidguard fits perfectly (that's why I bought it) - slightly wider than skidguards from other brands; My wide wash brush works great - Has a handle - Looks cool with the CG logo. Cons: - I wish I could put that in bold. NO measuring scale (in gallons or liters) anywhere inside or outside. How can anyone properly measure the soap to water ratio without filling the entire 4.5 gallons? Sorry, I'm a licensed engineer and it's in my…
