Cap does not snap or lock onto vehicle despite claiming to be compatible. Part of the product also appears to be broken. Wouldn't recommend it.

Lid locks when screwed down. The instructions say to insert the key, turn counterclockwise, then back and out. Then unscrew the cap. I have to insert the key, turn it clockwise, leave the key and unscrew it. I won't use it as I'm very afraid that one day it might not open.

What a terrible product. I sat at the gas station for over an hour without gas, the gas cap was not removed. Three different people at the gas station tried unsuccessfully to help me remove the gas cap. Someone had to come with tools to disassemble it to get gas. I do not recommend this terrible product to anyone.

so accordingly it was the right gas cap for my car but it is too high and my small door does not close properly and I had smoke. The test passed, but the fuel cap does not work. So much smoke came out from under the gas cap that my car looked like it was on fire. Therefore, more attention should be paid to either providing the right product or educating the customer.

This mounting cover was for the 2007 GMC Envoy Dinali. The first problem was that it didn't fit in the car because after putting the cap on you couldn't close the fuel filler flap. But the real problem was that you couldn't get the key back to open the lid. This became a real problem after the inside of the lock was sprayed with WD-40. I reinserted the key very carefully and turned it to unlock it again, I definitely didn't want it to break. Not a quality product. I could only imagine that this

The lock just doesn't work. The second time I tried to unlock the thing, it refused to unscrew it. I tried to lock/unlock several times and each time it just "clicked" when rotating. It will not be unpacked. I needed gas, so I broke the stupid gas cap. It was surprisingly easy to remove with a pair of pliers. I wedged it in the keyhole and with minimal effort the cap fell apart into several pieces. After that it was easy to just remove it. Glad I kept my original gas cap in the truck! This…
