I've used the second of these starters in less than a year, they've both developed dead spots and stranded me, the machine I installed on them has less 1500+ miles so durability of these starters is terrible, don't buy!

I bought this starter in March 2019 and it didn't last two years! Installed on a 350 box in my 1960 Impala it's been reliable for almost two years, came out this morning and all I heard was a click click as I turned the key. It's a little frustrating that I have to buy another starter so quickly.

I had a serious hot start problem with conventional starters, my starter is mounted next to the manifolds. Even the new high-end conventional starters will succumb, and with a heat shield at that. It started every time, even in the Phoenix summer heat. Great price, fast shipping, couldn't ask for more.

My car died starting on Bel Air (with Chevy 305ci engine and 200-4R transmission from 88 Monte Carlo SS) and it helped! This thing is half the size and weight of the old one and has a lot more clearance from the long pipes. Assuming this continues to be the case, the price alone makes it a 5 star product.

When I installed this starter it started the engine perfectly. I was very pleased. Within a week or two when trying to start the truck it just started clicking after the truck had driven a few miles.
