This item is great! Worried the base was too small for the chicken to fall over. It wasn't a problem at all. I've used it in another roaster just to be on the safe side in case the juice overflows. Again no question. The juiciest chicken breast ever. Sure, you can get cheaper fried chicken at Costco, but this platter lets you choose ingredients to your liking and, in my opinion, juicier breasts.

Everything worked right out of the box. Help safe easy to clean. Obviously there is a design flaw in the way the cup attaches to the base. This tab broke after 1 use. Now there is nothing to press the cup onto the base. The attachment of this tongue to the cup is very suspect and weak. I would be shocked if this didn't happen to everyone within the first two uses. I think you could get some strong glue to reattach, but it doesn't seem necessary.

Despite the product's apparent strength, the weight of the chicken itself broke off the part holding the vertical container to the pan as soon as I placed the chicken on the grate. make everything useless. It looks like the poor quality spot welding (if that was it), pressing the mounting tab onto the central vertical canister failed. I don't know how to fix this because any glue I'm familiar with can't handle the heat generated by the grill.

It's very cheaply made. It fell apart on first use so not very durable. When I removed the chicken from the tin after cooking, the tin came with it and I found that the clip that should have been welded to the bottom of the tin was no longer attached - it was still in the bottom shell . The clamp should be spot welded to the bottom of the canister, but more like a very small spot weld if welded at all. I'm not a welder so I didn't have a chance to fix it.
