OMG! What problems have I had trying to replace the remote control for my Dyson HPO1! I originally ordered one from Dyson. sent wrong twice! And they charged me $40 for it! Out of desperation I ordered this one. I couldn't believe it would work, even for the price. But it happened! It works great!

Bought to replace the broken original remote. Our baby knows how to throw things in the water. He immersed the original remote in a cup of water and put it in the tub. This remote still works compared to the original! All you need are 2 AAA batteries and you're done.

The replacement remote for my Dyson Cool Tower fan worked out of the box with no issues. I'm happy with the cost. They have provided a leaflet that tells you how to reprogram the remote if you accidentally bought it for a similar model fan. It looks like returning it would be easy if it's a completely wrong remote. They show a picture where you can find your model number in this case. They seem to want you to be happy with your purchase.

I accidentally washed my original remote control with my bedding. Khm-khm. But this remote control helps! I have HPO2 and it works. It comes with sync instructions. You need to press 2 buttons at the same time (2 buttons depend on the type) and it flashes 3 times, then you're done. Literally that easy! It costs money to have this instead of replacing the $50 option. I've tried most of the buttons and so far so good - will update if anything goes wrong.

This remote is much cheaper than Dyson branded controllers. It's not perfect and the design might need some polishing to turn it into a more professional product. There are a few edges that are still sharp after casting that could be deburred on a buffing wheel in about a second. But it works great and to be honest the buttons are easier to use than Dyson's as they are raised and rubberized and don't sit flush with the surface and are hard to feel without looking at them.
