First I read the most popular reviews - too thin, too easy to bend - and bought because I wanted something wanted to have, this can be easily bent to use small beads. It looks like the manufacturer changed the product based on feedback and went in a different direction. The hinges are very difficult to bend. When I bend them, there are small scratches on them. They are very thick - do not take small beads. Not what I wanted.

It has arrived and so beautiful; and I have used them several times. I bought gold and silver needles for making earrings. They are great and exactly as described and seen in the photo and description. I'm using it to make earrings that I'm going to sell at the flea market next week.
