Clarity phones are great for the hearing impaired. I bought this phone to add to the main base I bought for my grandmother last year. The battery life isn't as good as a regular cordless phone, but a regular cordless phone doesn't turn up the volume I'm sure, so the barreteria doesn't last a few days. This phone was purchased in addition to the D712 system with answering machine. The system was difficult to program; occasional callers didn't hear me; also turn voice on and off; brought the system back after people didn't hear me at all. Clarity's technical support and customer service is very disappointing - surprising given that they are part of Plantronics. When I called tech support they told me I had to shut down the system and remove the batteries for 30 minutes to reboot the system…
