Works cheaply

I was specifically looking for a stitch counter that was flat and could be operated with one hand. It fully meets these requirements. It would be nice if it had some sort of lock, but I just use my round "dice-if-unattended-and-needs-two-handed" marker to mark where I am when I put my work away .

Pros
  • Nice to use

Good counter but no locking mechanism

I bought this counter to have a spare around the house. It works well but I prefer a different model with a locking mechanism. I would not travel with this gauge or pack it in a project bag as there is no way to prevent accidental triggering. I use it for short projects that I can complete in a session or two.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Big! It just needs an improvement to be perfect.

How have I knitted all these years without this? The counter is everything! The only thing I would recommend for improvement is a way to slip something through somewhere so you can wear it around your neck. I always lose my stuff on the pillows and this is no different. I have found a tailor to wear around my neck and it is wonderful. I also want to wear it to work.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
