Club Precedent Double 2004 Up Electric Review

This was the second lift kit we have purchased from Revain. The first (from a different brand) came with no instructions and despite being described as being accidental, it didn't fit in our shopping cart. This lift kit cost more but had BEAUTIFUL step by step instructions and was so easy to install! Super cool! Luckily we also ordered seat belts because our kids are dying to ride in them!

The quality of this device is so-so, but given the price and country of manufacture I'm not surprised. I would spend an additional $80-$100 on RHOX or MadJax when they come back on sale. Installation was easy enough, but make sure you have an impact wrench and a good set of deep metric sockets before you begin. A taller jack will also be needed if you use larger tires. Mine goes up to 21 inches and did the job.

Looks like a good kit, with one major flaw - the lower camber bolts are too short. Even after adjusting the links/bolts on the upper arms, there is not enough thread on the lower arms to adjust. Collapse. I had to remove the thick lock washers that came with the kit and use lock washers instead. This lower arm is under high stress and the adjuster bolts must be at least 3/4" longer to ensure full thread contact. 2006 Club Precedent with stock tires and rims.

Love the 6 inch lift on my 2012 club car. It was easy to install and had excellent written and colored instructions. This took about 4 hours or more since I've never installed one before, plus about 3 hours to align. Next time it will definitely be much faster. The kit came with good installation instructions and was very easy to install. There are many videos on Youtube showing you the process. My kit included an extra rear bracket for use with heavy duty leaf springs. I haven't thought about it, but it makes sense. The powerful leaf spring actually raises the rear without lifting. Overall easy installation. Directions weren't always properly marked, but the photos helped. As others have said, the hip joints are dangerously short. I will check them regularly as there is barely enough thread for the screws. Even then I can't set the camber perfectly. Replacements cost $30-$40 each, reducing the cost of the kit. I installed this lift on my 2008 Precedent electric cart a few days ago. I took my time and triple checked everything and the entire install took probably 4 hours. I just bought a car a few weeks ago and it needed all the new bushings. I bought this lift that doesn't just make jacks. The installation went smoothly, no. Landing problems, instructions are vague in places, but I felt them. There were some minor issues with installing the cam correctly. I ended up twisting the top joints completely

I have a 2010 Precedent IQ with Jake's hard spindle lift previously installed. A golf cart tuner told me that the previous set could break on really rough stuff like gopher holes and rabbit holes.
