I WANT TO RETURN THIS ITEM FOR A REFUND. I ordered this and within the first day the glass jug cracked on the heating element. Today I noticed that the glass pot of the replacement device has a crack. Therefore, I think the glass jugs are defective and no longer trust the manufacturer. I want a refund so I can get a different product from a different manufacturer.

I bought this for my RV a few months ago to save space. The controls are difficult to use. The pot is so tight it's almost impossible to remove with one hand. If you try to use both hands, the steam from the top vent or brew basket will burn your hand. The reusable filter is difficult to clean. The water level indicator on the side is difficult to read. The carafe has no markings for the number of cups inside. This product is not user friendly.

I needed a no-frills coffee maker. It looked right in every way. However, when brewing a cup, it turned out to be very watery and yellow-brown in color. I checked the temperature and it was right out of the basket in the carafe 165. I tested with and without the base. The same thing. I added 135 degree water to see if that would help and that brought it to 175. You can't brew coffee at 165-175 so I don't need a watery tanning fluid warmer. When my old coffee pot died, I switched to an old coffee maker that I use on camping trips. He was fine for a year. It was slow, didn't make the best coffee and had a lot of cleaning work to do.
