While I gave this coffee maker maximum stars for taste and ease of cleaning and use, I will never buy it again (as I would for any other Mixpresso product) and would not recommend it to others mainly on a burner (on which the glass carafe sits) which either arrived faulty (undetected) or broke down within a week or so after using the coffee maker for the first time when I first noticed it (I bought it in January). 2020, but I only used it for the first time in May 2020). Unlike any other coffee maker I've ever used, the burner on this model is separate from the coffee maker, tilted, and springy when pressed. I don't think it should be and I'm concerned it's a fire hazard. So I throw it away and order another coffee machine from a completely different manufacturer. Because of this experience (my first and only with Mixpresso) I don't trust their products. Their customer service department offered me a free replacement for the same coffee maker, but for the reason I explained earlier, I don't want another coffee maker from them, I want a refund of my purchase price, which they don't. ready to do. I just want anyone thinking of buying this coffee maker to be aware of the burner defect on mine. My additional complaints (albeit minor in comparison): 1) the white numbers on the glass jug that indicate the level of the cup is hard to read, 2) the water level indicator is only on one side of the coffee maker rather than both sides, as always in my experience with coffee makers from other manufacturers, 3) the red on/off button looks bright red even in the off position, so you'll need to be on top of the coffee maker to make sure that's the last person who used it didn't forget to turn it off, 4) coffee doesn't flow into the cup and part of it doesn't fall on the countertop. I tried this Mixpresso coffee maker because every Mr. It only took 12-18 months for its innards to become so clogged (despite proper cleaning) that it stopped working (plus, each burner became flaked off and rusted long before the coffee maker was completely clogged). Even with a relatively cheap coffee machine, I expect a significantly longer service life than 12-18 months. That's how I ended up with Mixpresso and Mr. Kaffee and now I'm trying Gevi (I ordered it from Revain's website yesterday).
