Decent price and quality

Arrived quickly as promised. He'll definitely do the job he's meant to do. Time will tell how long this takes, but I believe the asking price of around $10 is fair. So if it lasts 3-5 years, hopefully there's no harm in buying another one. I would really appreciate it if the RJ-11 plug had a protective rubber cap to keep the tab from pinching. and break.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Empty

Disintegrated in less than a week.

Fell apart in less than a week while on a long cross country drive. I went to unplug it to see why the power was cycling. Parts scattered all over the truck and I think I lost a spring or something. I couldn't assemble it properly. To be honest after only having the cable for a week I didn't have to try to put it back together. The original cable that comes with the radar detector has served for many years.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Reliability

DO NOT BUY ! Coiled cord falls out due to its own weight

Terrible design - the cord is so heavy the weight of the cord keeps pulling on the phone plug and after 1.5 months of driving it got wound up and my radar was failing. Detector (the detected radar is located about 3-4 feet above the cigarette lighter in the car it is plugged into). First connection problems (constant connection/disconnection), then random detector dropouts while it was on. Get a straight cord instead as it's a lot lighter when hanging

worked fine on: Car electronics accessories

It originally gave 5 stars and it fit perfectly and was much more comfortable than the original V1. Now, 8 months later, the entire interior is broken. I've tried putting it back together but it's like trying to herd cats. The spring loaded parts won't stay in place and it's useless now. Seriously, I haven't used it much. I live in New York and only drive on the weekends and even then I rarely use a V1 unless I'm on the freeway, which is even more rare. So maybe I plugged and unplugged this…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • So so

Don't waste your money, buy OEM

Ordered this to replace my Valentine One power cord. I open the box and notice that the latch on the cable is broken. The overall design and materials used in this product are cheap compared to OEM. I arranged with Revane to give me the money back. I forgot to return a defective product without my return window and have now lost my money. I'm going to replace the wire with a factory wire for a few extra bucks, which is what I should have done from the start. I will most likely break this power…
