I was going to use a drying mat but needed something to hold the growler securely upside down. The teeth on the underside are short but very strong and work well. The cutlery compartment is open on the side, but tabs in the bottom keep everything in place. The shelf fits snugly inside the drain pan, and the drain pan is shaped to fit over the rim of the sink. And of course flattened for storage. Much better thought out than other dish racks I've had.

Perfect for what I need it for! I have limited counter space so something that can be stored away when not in use would be ideal. When I first received the item it was damaged and torn at the top corner. I contacted the seller and offered a replacement. The wait for a replacement lasted a week, which was a bit annoying, but overall I'm satisfied. I realize this is small and more for a household or very small family. In the photo, a coffee mug and a large travel mug take up a lot of space.

I've noticed a few criticisms of cutlery trays - all you have to do is tilt the bottom of your knife, fork or spoon towards the divider so the top faces forward, away from the dryer. For such a price it should work. Also, it took 2nd place on the dish racks, which is amazing. Some people have complained that the utensil holder area doesn't have a wall to keep them from falling out, but I haven't had this problem with utensils or straws falling out and honestly that shouldn't be a reason you're not getting the product. , it works great and is a durable product.
