I wear it every day, up to 18-20 hours a day, and hardly notice it's there. The best part is that it never irritates the skin on the forehead like some other materials. Don't take one, take two!

Ideal size for an uncuffed hat. 7 inches long. so about in the middle of the ear or something. Its width is 8 inches. I didn't think finding a hat without cuffs would be so hard. It took me about 8 different ones to find this bad kid. Definitely going this year.

Although the quality is very good, it's not as thick as I imagined. Whether it's a physical anomaly or a product, it's too small for my head. Being one size doesn't really work. This hat is a basic Columbia hat that was expected but arrived THREE months later than expected! I ordered it with coat and gloves as a Christmas present and was warned it might arrive a few days after Christmas but it arrived YESTERDAY February 20th!

This hat is quite warm and I'm dealing with Wisconsin winters so that's saying a lot. The optics are great and it seems to be of decent quality. The only downside to this hat is that it is about 1/4"-1/2" shorter. I have a big head and although the hat fits, it often rides down over my ears making the hat look ridiculous on me. I wish the hat was a little longer for those of us with big bowler hats.

I have a small head so I'm less concerned with fit and more concerned with overall warmth, quality and price. It's a little thin, loose (for me), doesn't cover the ears well and doesn't help much in the wind. If you live in the Midwest, look elsewhere. I tried this and another cap from Revain before I went to Walmart and found a $6 cap that was better than the $20 cap I bought at Revain.
