I don't recall seeing a warning that these cartridges do not come with a chip required to use the product in my HP printer. The product comes with instructions, a cutting tool and tweezers to remove the chip from a used cartridge and place it in a new cartridge. It took me 15 minutes to figure out what I was doing. So this new cartridge works perfectly. The printer says I'm using a nearly empty cartridge. It didn't cause any printing problems.

This product works the same as an HP product and costs much less. Removing the "chip card" requires some care, and I recommend taking a picture of the chip installed in the original HP cartridge. I used my own card removal tools according to their instructions. They provided the tools, but I didn't realize it until I emptied the box - I bought two cartridges. I am satisfied with the product. I'm sure HP will find another way to fool us users.
