Great for brewing! for hose fittings

I received what you see in the picture. I like them because the prongs are a bit oversized, so I don't need those prong collars in my brewery. I wanted to spend hundreds on cam locks. I've noticed that most barbed fittings are big enough that a hose clamp isn't really needed, so I replaced the smaller barbs and skipped an expensive upgrade.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • you could choose a newer model

They sent me the wrong size twice.

I ordered a 1/2" x 1/2" NPT fitting for use with a Concord stove that I purchased. Instead I got 1/8" x 1/4" NPT. The size was even printed on the fittings. Of course they didn't work at all. I reordered 1/2" and they sent me again 1/8 x 1/4. Totally disappointed and disappointed. Will try another supplier on third try.

Hardened deposits on food contact surfaces.

I was disappointed with the actual size of the fitting. This can be a factor in the measurement systems used to describe such fittings. Inner diameter versus outer diameter and corresponding wall thickness. However, I received two rebars and one was filled with debris. Some sort of sintering from the casting and chrome plating process (quality control?) or from a return suggesting it was used in the past. Luckily I only needed one and ours isn't rated for food contact.

Pros
  • Hose Fittings
Cons
  • Discontinued
