I love it because it meets my needs for hair condition and smoothness. It's easy to heat flaxseed in the microwave. I liked the convenience of being able to move when my hair was conditioned.

I am hoping to replace my gel heating mantles with ones that contain flaxseed. After reading the reviews of many, I decided on this cap. Not sure if there are any pros, but there are a few CONS: 1) Poor fit. Too small 2) Uneven placement of flaxseeds - not enough flaxseed at the crown; this means very minimal heat in that area 3) The flaxseed falls heavily around the back of the cap leaving a few areas of heat 4) Cools down in 10 minutes Disappointed to say the least. While ok for what it is it has some designs in it and if I find one you want I will replace it. It has a circular section sewn in at the top that holds the seeds in the middle, but the rest is a section around your head and all the seeds either come together or fly all over the place like a fringe around your head and don't stay in. Warm cap stays warm for about 10 minutes after being in 1000W microwave oven for 1 minute 15 seconds. Unfortunately, flaxseeds are not distributed across the cap. They sit on the sides around the edge with very little on top. Fit - I have long fine hair below my shoulders and it fits tight so what works for me may not work for others. I love that it's filled with beads rather than gel. Ideal for deep conditioning treatments, heats up quickly and stays hot for at least 10 minutes. I usually microwave it once per session for another 30-45 seconds and then it stays hot until I'm ready to rinse my hair. Much better than hanging out under a hair dryer for 20 minutes at a time.

I ordered this hair dryer over the more expensive hard shell hair dryer for a number of reasons. I liked that it was cordless and electric during use so I could use it in the bath too. Really like this heater. It is filled with flaxseeds, which retain heat for a long time. My hair was super dry. Luckily no breakage or split ends, just very dry. The deep conditioning was fine and the addition of heat helped the cuticles open up and better absorb the moisturizing effects. The terry cloth interior also helps retain heat.
