CANNOT install closet lights without using almost ALL of these connectors! I just wish there was an easier way to connect the 4 pin connectors to the 6 pin connector clips where I need to connect a strip to the clip to the extension cord and 4 pin connectors would be the only logical choice other than soldering. Works great when used as directed. It may take some practice to get it right. It works great with waterproof bands. Just remove the rubber (which I took off with a little effort) before trying to attach anything. The problem I have with this set of products is that my splitter cable is not working properly on one side. This makes blues and greens darker while reds remain bright. This kit or something similar is practically indispensable when installing your first LED strips. I ended up using everything except a jumper and a Y-splitter. I'm certainly glad I had the foresight to buy this as I snagged the light strips. Note. The strips can be a real nuisance when trying to "plug into an extension/jumper". - Figured out LEAVING THE LINING (if your LED strip has an adhesive backing)! - Make sure the strip is under the guide tabs on each side of the jumper receiving portion.

This is a good kit but despite the description it is not designed for IP65 silicone coated strips. There are two reasons for this: 1. If you look closely at the pictures you will see that this is a clamp-like connection where the strip slides under the tabs as opposed to barbed wire which slides into each conductor Silicone. I bought 2 strips for bunk beds. I wanted to split the strips in half so they would continue on the top bunk without catching fire at the plug. It was the perfect set for that!
