Light, breathable and doesn't flop in my son's eyes like many baby sun hats. The material is very pleasant to the touch, light and breathable. Thanks to the adjustable Velcro strap, the strap is not too tight or too loose. So far this has kept my son's face, head, neck and chest from even the slightest tan even after accompanying me all day at work in the yard.

My son loves to play and explore on safari. I needed something to protect him from the sun that he would want to wear. I was afraid it wouldn't fit, but I bought it anyway. He is obsessed with this hat and will even wear it at home when pretending to go exploring. I like the cover and it looks like he could wear it for a few years. I bought two of these hats for my grandfathers who are two and three years old. The fit of each is a little loose (which doesn't bother me because they grow into them) but they can be pulled up a bit with an elastic drawstring at the back of the panel. This would be a 5 star rating except a few weeks into the return deadline my sons tie broke off their hat after a gentle wash. I bought these for my kids for our vacation in Florida where I wanted it to be on all the time so it could stand up to the pool, sea and sand. They did great even when they get wet, they're light weight and cool enough too, the kids don't mind, just wring them out and put them back on!
