Contigo AUTOSPOUT Straw Ashland Water Bottles Review: 24 oz, Scuba & Smoke, 2-Pack Review

I used one of these bottles for the first time. He was left in a hot car for about two hours. When I got back I opened it and it soaked my head and shirt. At least 1/4 cup of water spilled out. Later it was in the fridge. I took it out and opened it up and it soaked me again. At room temperature I held the spout and slowly opened it and it sprayed. You can't just open the lid, that's the whole point.

My first day of use and so far so good. Sucking in with the straw didn't work at first, but once I put it on the inside everything worked like clockwork. I'm not a big fan of the spout's release button - when I press it, the water tends to slosh out of the spout. I like the exhaust lock feature. I liked the two pack option: one for the gym and one for the office. I'm not sure how easy it will be to clean the plastic mouthpiece and fittings. Best drinking container I have ever seen. It's well designed and I love everything about it. I am one of those people who look for the best product when buying. I've tried a few others but this one is simple and so well made - for the price it doesn't get any better. I love Contigo water bottles and wouldn't trade them for anything. Good price for this set of 2 water bottles. They are completely closed. no leaks when inverted to the closed position. They are well made and attractive. The packaging states that they cannot be used for hot or carbonated drinks. I read in the Q&A that you can use carbonated drinks, so I was a bit disappointed. I'm ordering the same bottle for the second time because I use mine every day and it's finally time (after about a year and a half) to replace it. I like these bottles because I can measure the amount of water I drink in an ounce. Markers on the side, it fits in cup holders in my car, and a clip-on handle attaches to my bag so I can grab water hands-free. The spout is also refillable to protect it from dirt and spills. I've tried many water bottles over the years and this is by far my favorite. I had an older version of this water bottle for about 2 years before the seal broke. This new version of the bottle is far superior to the old models. The straw is screwed into the lid so it won't accidentally fall out when the lid is removed. These are my new favorite water bottles! I used to be a camelbak girl myself but after buying it I can't go back! There are three reasons I love these water bottles: 1) Straw! The straw is twisted on the lid to prevent it from falling/dropping out. My camelbak would be torture if the straw kept falling out of the lid because it's useless until you fix it afterwards. I love these bottles - they work GREAT. Very quiet, even quieter than my expensive Lifefactory glass bottle which sounds like I'm sipping soup. Love the dimensions on the bottle, quick release cap, one hand operation and button closure. Everything works great. The straw is removable, so it's also easy to clean. Fits perfectly in my car's cup holders. Just a pity they sweat when they have ice cold liquid in them, but any uninsulated bottle will do, so I don't see that as a disadvantage. I'm glad
