Review on Contigo AUTOSPOUT Straw Ashland Water Bottles Review: 24 oz, Scuba & Smoke, 2-Pack by Anthony Robichaud

I love these bottles - they work GREAT. Very quiet, even quieter than my expensive Lifefactory glass bottle which sounds like I'm sipping soup. Love the dimensions on the bottle, quick release cap, one hand operation and button closure. Everything works great. The straw is removable, so it's also easy to clean. Fits perfectly in my car's cup holders. Just a pity they sweat when they have ice cold liquid in them, but any uninsulated bottle will do, so I don't see that as a disadvantage. I'm glad I bought 2 packs so I can keep one at home and one at work! *** For anyone complaining that it makes "turkey" or "dolphin" sounds when you drink from it: NOTE IT RIGHT! It has a straw - it shouldn't burst when you drink from it! When you tilt it, the straw can't suck in water (gravity!), so you're just sucking in air, hence the (admittedly funny) noise (which makes a fun party trick)! Yay, science! So there is no need to detach or replace the covers because the noise will disturb you. just keep right and it won't beep! :) Or, if you'd rather tip the bottle over to drink, return it and find a *strawless* bottle - like Contigo AUTOSEAL Cortland Water Bottle, 24oz, Greyed Jade.
