Description of Continental ContiWinterContact TS 850P SUV 255/55 R19 111H winter

Continental WinterContact TS 850 P (Continental Winter Contact TS 850 Pi), presented at the end of 2013, will appear on the shelves closer to the winter season 2014/2015 and will gradually replace its predecessor ContiWinterContact TS 830 P, in comparison with which the operational characteristics. The tire structure and tread design have undergone noticeable changes. Now the blocks of the shoulder zones have become more rigid, and the “shoulders” themselves have been somewhat smoothed out, which has improved handling and reduced rolling noise produced by the tire. Enlarge The asymmetrical pattern of the "TS850P" has been redesigned for greater efficiency. Due to the reduced distance between the blocks and the increase in their angles, the number of working blocks, and, accordingly, the number of zigzag lamellas covering them, has increased significantly. Therefore, we can safely talk about more clinging edges (compared to the previous model) and, therefore, better lateral grip. The drainage grooves, both longitudinal and transverse, have expanded. This feature helps the WinterContact TS850 P tire to more effectively self-clean from dirt, slush and water. Another growth of the Hanoverian developers is the reduced side wall of the ContiWinterContact TS 850P, which ensures a rapid increase in lateral forces. As a result, the tire has better handling on dry pavement. The manufacturer has high hopes for the Continental Winter Contact TS 850P. This tire should definitely be the flagship of the German giant, as independent tests of the Continental TS 850 P show exactly that. As for motorists, we can say with confidence that such a non-studded model will arouse considerable interest among owners of premium cars.

Love the Continental brand! In the spring I bought summer tires, I also stopped at this manufacturer for winter tires! So far I have never regretted it! I recommend. The price, of course, bites, but the declared quality and characteristics are justified!

Pros
  • Very quiet and performs well on any surface. Haven't experienced it in harsh winter yet. Frozen asphalt, snow porridge for 5 plus!
Cons
  • Haven't found it yet!

It's not all bad, an average quality purchase.

In summary, I was not satisfied; in fact, I would go so far as to say that I was dissatisfied; I took advantage of it for one winter; it is not worth my money; now I do not know what to do with it ((( Got pros: The suppleness is appropriate, and it behaves well on dry pavement. Relatively quiet. Its cons: It walks around in the snow, has a grade of C, and because it carries, it can be frightening in corners. Extremely flimsy sidewall; I suffered two hernias as a result, despite the fact that I…

The right product for me, the price suited me.

According to what I've been told, the tires are brand new, as they were only introduced in 2022 to replace the TS850 (without P). In point of fact, they just sold it to me since, at the time that I began looking for winter, there was very little time left, and everything had already been purchased. The TS850 (without P), which has a lot of reviews, was recommended to me, and I thought it was a good choice. But as a consequence of the search, I discovered that everything had been purchased, and…

Pros
  • After the Vredshtein summer, the environment was rather calm and gentle, and I hardly noticed any differences. Even though the Mercedes ML166 I drive is a relatively quiet vehicle overall, I couldn't shake the sensation that I was in motion. It is quite stable, in that it does not blow snow and maintains its hold on a wet road. Additionally, it does not blow away dry snow. Acceleration by 5 both in snow and wet, but I don't know how it is on ice because I haven't driven it yet. Braking is also extremely good both in snow and wet; there was just no ice yet. But Velcro . It is difficult to anticipate anything exceptional coming from it.
Cons
  • Before it was brought to anyone's attention, I had only been driving for two months, even though everything was perfect for me.

With its pros: Holds the road well, very quiet on dry pavement. I've been using it for two seasons and haven't noticed any degradation yet. Different cons: The first time of operation you need to be careful, get used to it. Still, on ice (crossroads, tram tracks, etc.), braking is worse than on spikes.

Tires are very satisfied. I changed my shoes late and immediately noticed that the tire does not harden in the cold, it rides very quietly. Management is almost the same as in the summer, precise, responsive. On snow, it shows excellent braking and maneuverability. I'm sure about the tires. I will write a more detailed review when I can give a more objective assessment.

Pros
  • Nice new tyre. Not noisy, soft.
Cons
  • Until I discovered
