Suitable for Caprice Classic Perfect.

Fits my 1996 Chevrolet Caprice Classic. The squeaking has been eliminated. The Dayco strap squeaked even when it was just fog.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • socket required.

Good product, quality looks premium

Good product, quality looks premium. I thought my old belt was still good but when the new one arrived I totally saw the difference. The old belt slipped and creaked at times, the new belt solved the problem.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Featured Period: Belts, hoses and pulleys

Sound, durability and grip are second to none. They are made of EPDM rubber, which is stronger and more durable than traditional rubber. These are the only tapes I use. Despite the fact that Continental now owns this brand, the quality has not suffered at all.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Large and bulky

It's nice to hear under the hood again while driving

My mechanic told me that my car was leaking oil on my belt and it was making it squeak. I put on a new belt and it squeaked a minute after putting it on. I bought one of these and put it on and it stopped making noise. Nice to hear under the hood again while driving.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Smooth, quiet belt!

I installed this belt on my 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS and it is very quiet. So far it's been great! I exchanged my deflection pulley at the same time as the Amazon ac delco. This belt looks good and the ribbing is different from a regular belt so it runs smooth. Very good product.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Functionality

I love these belts. No chirps, no squeaks

This is the correct belt for LT1 with A/C and automatic. Other belts listed that are about .75 shorter will not fit. I did my best. I'm deducting a star because the photo is old. Chances are you're getting a Conti-branded belt and not a Goodyear image (Conti makes belts for the GY), which isn't a big deal, but the other Gatorback I bought for my Dodge truck was this gator Revain needs to update the image, that's all.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Available for swap

When Veyance Technologies (formerly known as Goodyear Engineered Products) was sold by Goodyear to Continental AG, the Goodyear Gatorback drive belt brand was renamed Continental Elite. I've found Gatorback belts to work really well on my Ford - even better than Motorcraft and definitely better than Dayco or any other brand - so I bought one of these for my 1996 Impala SS. Fits perfectly; runs smooth and smooth. The belt is manufactured at the ContiTech (formerly Veyance) plant in Mexico.

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • hard to say
