False advertising on gamepads and standard controllers

Didn't understand what was being advertised, on the left is the OEM and what they show in their pictures, on the right is what they actually sell. You go from zero to 100 with no intermediate value, you lose the sensitivity of the stick. Not recommended at all. False advertising.

Xbox One Controller Dead Center Fix

I fixed 4 of my Xbox One controllers, the right joystick had a serious drift problem. Be sure to check the parts before installing, I had 3 bad parts out of 10. When removing the potentiometer make sure nothing goes above 200. Anything under 100 is very good/acceptable.

It can work, it can't.

Checked resistance on each pot. All 20. Values were anywhere from 8.3k to 10.4k. I'm not sure what the actual value of the pot should be, but assuming it should be somewhere in between (9.3k) then the tolerance for such things would be 11%. I personally wouldn't design anything with 11% tolerance. That being said, the potentiometers seem to track well when the joystick is moved along the axis of motion. This is a much stiffer movement than standard joysticks. I'm not sure if they really work. I
