The first one couldn't get it to work. I sent it back and got a loan. I ordered exactly the same again. I followed the order and first connected the battery terminals as directed. After using this device for several days I have seen nothing but a green charging light other than a steady glow with no blinking. The red light indicating that the load is on is always on when the corresponding battery is connected. This allows my 25w solar panel to charge the battery. I had a solar service box in a car with an AGM battery and as the voltage at the output of the service box can be 20+ volts I figured this was one AGM battery can be damaged by high charging voltage (in a normal lead acid battery this is not so important as you can always top up with distilled water if the battery is overcharged and the electrolyte boils off).
