After using this device for several days I have seen nothing but a green charging light other than a steady glow with no blinking. The red light indicating that the load is on is always on when the corresponding battery is connected. This allows my 25w solar panel to charge the battery. It also powers the load circuit from the battery or panel, whichever has the most power at the time. I wouldn't be surprised if this device is a simple circuit of resistors and diodes in a small plastic box, so it takes a little longer for the green light to flash. Despite the disappointment of not being able to see if the device is charging, it really is. Checked with a multimeter. With this device and a 20 watt panel, one person could run a small electrical device continuously.
