We have always bought Converse from local stores and have never had a size difference. This pair is 1/4" shorter and 1/4" narrower. The tags are identical to those we have purchased in the past, even made in the same place. I can't believe opposites have 1/4" tolerances when they are made. I sent them last week and it's been over 3 business days without knowing about my refund. I have many pairs this size but for some reason they are too small for me. I am waiting until the end of today and will then file a claim for a return that I have made to which I have not received a response.

I love these shoes and the nostalgia they evoke. I usually wear a size 7.5 and a size 8 fits perfectly, so I agree with others that half a size up is needed when ordering.

I really like the new "slim" design of these shoes. I have original Converse that I almost never wear due to the heaviness of the sole and the burning sensation around the heels. I love these shoes and have ordered more pairs in this style. It's much more feminine than traditional conversation. The only negative I would say about them is that they are uncomfortable without socks to do metal eyelets; So put on socks!

I really wanted these shoes to fit. I love Converse and have small, narrow feet. I'm a size 6-1/2 which is sometimes too big but they are so tight I can never wear them. Three stars for two reasons: 1) This "Dainty" version is exactly that. I assumed it would be less bulky than the Converse original, and it was. But it was also very, very tight. We choose quality and price - we are satisfied with these sneakers. It's hard to disagree with Converses, their fit is exactly what you would expect in a flat with no arch. Wide enough for a swollen (many year old foot surgery) foot but snug enough for another average width foot.
