Old Wii looks high tech on Smart TVs

After being stuck at home for so long, we finally got our old Wii out of the garage (2010 probably?). We needed an adapter to connect to smart TVs and we tried a regular AV HDMI adapter. It worked but the image was blurry. As soon as we received this adapter, the picture on the screen became much better. I was willing to ditch the Wii and pay hundreds for a new switch, but my kids enjoy playing old-school games with this adapter. At least for now

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • sad packaging

So happy Electronics

This little device is great. I was so disappointed when I pulled out the WII and couldn't play it because we bought a new TV and it didn't have any extra inputs, only HDMI ports. I went to several different stores to find a mount for it but no luck. One of my friends said "Check out AMAZON" and indeed they had exactly what I needed! The picture still shows the same and the fun is endless. Very pleased and so happy that someone thought of making this thing for new TVs.

Easy to use! Plug straight in, need adjustment

I used red/yellow/white Wii cables on an old TV before. When my new set didn't have these ports, this product was the perfect solution. The product is as advertised and allows HDMI solution for Wii to be used. Interestingly, virtual console games don't work with it until I set the video output to 480i in the Wii settings. So if you're having trouble with it, that might be the reason. Otherwise it worked like a charm right out of the box.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Style 90

use it with an HDMI to HDMI+RCA output device and the two just don't like each other for whatever reason. In other words, in our setup we split the audio to RCA so we can play it over regular stereo. The lack of compatibility here meant I had to find another way to get sound from the Wii.

Pros
  • glittery
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

great for my old Wii

This was the perfect solution to get my early Wii to work with my new 4K TCL Roku TV with no VGA ports. Of course I'm not a big gamer and I don't expect strong graphics, but it helps for my Wii Sports, Resort, Bar Games, Racing Games, Boom Blox and Puzzle games. My touchpad seems very intuitive and with a TV screen. For my basic needs, I don't notice any lag or bit issues. That's what I expected. Many Thanks.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Infinitely Sluggish

Cons
  • Long delivery time

It was a great addition and I had no problems with it for several months. One note though - I intended to use it with an HDMI to HDMI + RCA output device plus two devices for whatever. The reason is simply that they don't like each other. In other words, in our setup we split the audio to RCA so we can play it over regular stereo. The lack of compatibility here meant I had to find another way to get sound from the Wii.
