Works perfectly! Not just for printers.

I use it to calibrate a surgical laser and it works great. Much simpler than a DB9 adapter plus a DB9 null modem to DB25. Solid build quality.

Worked well with Epson U375 Validator

I've used this on some Lenovo Mini M93P computers that were installed in a drive-through with limited space. Computers didn't have serial ports. They worked well to connect Epson U375 receipt printers/validators to their DB25 connectors via USB ports without adapters.

misused and soldered myself

I bought this cable, found that it is really only for a specific device, not for a general connection. It was an excellent quality cable so I decided to solder it myself (these cables are not easy to find) - now it works great. The price was good, the quality was good. Five stars.

Not only for Epson TM-T88V printers!

Surprise! This not only applies to an Epson printer, as it says in the product description, but also to a normal USB-to-serial adapter, which is suitable for many other purposes. I'm using it to connect a TRS-80 Model 100 to a Raspberry Pi and it works exactly as I imagined. I'm surfing the web in text mode through a serial terminal on a 1981 machine, and this adapter is critical to my very specific experience. This might work for you too. Featured!
