None of the 3 pair I received had any pilling or snags either initially or after being laundered. As you can see from the pictures and from the seller’s description, there is additional padding at the heel and toe, but in between, the material is VERY thin. I never expected I'd write a headline like that for a product review. But these socks are well-made, and comfortable. They have held together over many wash cycles so far. Most importantly, they reduce foot odor after a long day on my feet. I was a skeptic as to that last bit, but now I'm convinced, and ordering more.

I got these socks in the gray ankle length style. For my feet, they are quite comfortable. The heel and the toe are both padded more than the rest of the sock, so you have some extra comfort there. These are nice socks and are great for hiking and being on your feet all day. I want to get the athletic style socks to wear with my shorts and workout clothes now. These are mid-calf on me, so they are good with pants or boots. I can’t tell any real difference with the copper, but if I do.I’ll come back with more info.

These socks fit correctly and are comfortable. They do wear down fairly quickly, though -- specifically, several of the socks developed little holes on the sides of the heels -- where several of the seams meet.

I love everything about these, except that the elastic "neck" is designed to be very tight. I have very slim ankles and legs, so I can only imagine how tight these would be on someone else!They feel like compression socks and leave marks on my skin.
