Careful… bottles fell out multiple times on a ride.

Recently bought these to attach to my under saddle cage. They looked good, but within the first 5 minutes, one of the bottles had already fallen out twice. Cycling in a group and this happening did not win me any friends. These may work mounted on a bike, but did not work well with my setup. I’ll spend a little more on Tacx brand.

  • The holder may not stay secure and may rattle while cycling

Easy mounting / universal bottle holder

Daughter picked these out from the sea of choices on Best Buy. I was out of town when they arrived and I got a call from my wife who was attempting to mount the cage on the bike. Without seeing the instructions I was able to visualize and convey to my wife how to use the screws (hex/torx) and mount the thing. The cage hold her bottles just fine. Both those with a grove and purchased bottles of water.

Not for rough stuff.

These would be perfectly fine for smooth tarmac road riding, but they are not secure for gravel / MTB. Where I ride there are lots of gravel roads so "road" riding usually ends up with at least some mild gravel. I had a bottle bounce out of these (somehow magically onto my foot so I was able to place it back). This was on a gravel road and I don't think it was particularly bumpy. If you want a light weight plastic cage and won't hit bumps these are fine, but if you head towards a bit rougher…

Basically plastic for my opinion

Used these on my ebike for 4 months, until one of them cracked and my custom water bottle fell out and cracked the bottle. Stick with a metal one!

Kind of weak in my review

Doesn't take much of a bump to knock your bottle out of the holder. Fine on perfect pavement but on gravel I was circling back to retrieve a bottle pretty regularly.

  • I had no specific problem, it was doing its job. But I am not sure how long will it last.

  • The holder may not fit well with other bike gear or accessories

Good BUT. good for me

It made a very long scratch on my insulated plastic water bottle. Good thing I have an aluminum water bottle. Will I buy again or recommend this? NO.

So so product in my review

I got these and I thought it was durable, so I gave one away thinking I didn’t need the extra one (I only carry one bottle) but then the one I had installed got broken. I bought a different brand. I also have to say that it was kind of difficult to put the bottle back in place.

Great bottle holder.

With the $ range and quality, do not buy the similar product from REI or bike shop. The quality of this product is just as good as if you buy from bike shop or Sierra with 1/3 the price.
