Description of ๐ŸŒˆ Enhance Your Gaming Setup with CORSAIR Vengeance RGB PRO Light Enhancement Kit (White) โ€“ Excludes Memory

This kit does not contain any DDR4 memory. A separately purchased Vengeance RGB PRO Memory Kit is required for your system to function. Two light enhancement modules to fill your empty DDR4 slots, with the same RGB lighting effects of your existing Vengeance RGB Pro Memory modules. Corsair iCUE software brings your system to life with dynamic RGB lighting control, synchronized across all your iCUE compatible Corsair products. Works with most Intel and AMD DDR4 motherboards. Requires no extra wires or cables for a clean and seamless install.

Fake it until you do

So I'm writing this review in the context of dummy cards that look the same but are just LEDs. Note that if you do what I did with a 4 slot MOBO, you put real memory cards in the first and last slots. I had an issue where ICUE only recognized memory cards. After being merged into this configuration, they were all recognized and are now working properly. There's a slight lag between changing the RGB settings and the physical display, but that's not unreasonable. Overall they look good and workโ€ฆ

Pros
  • That's awesome

Completes RGB build on the fly

Look folks this isn't memory and it's Corsair so yeah you're paying a premium. However, I have 4 dims on my Asus z490 Prime-a, 2 of which were populated with 32GB of Vengeance RGB RAM rated at 3600MHz. You can find the RAM here: https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-2x16GB -PC4-28800-Optimized/ dp/B082DGZJ9C/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=CMW32GX4M2D3600C18&qid=1615220664&sr=8-1 This left me back with 2 blank dimmers, my OCD was working and I was going to buy another set of 32GB RAM but thatโ€ฆ

  • Lots of good vibes

Fast ram. RGB is good. No questions.

I haven't looked into massive amounts of DDR4 RAM, but of several kits I've used, the Corsair Vengeance seems to be the best yet. And they look very good too. The RGB color spectrum is slightly different than the ll120 RGB fans, but not far enough away to be distracting. It's just that the lights on Aries appear a little brighter than the fan lights. Thank you and it was the night of... check person.

Does what they're supposed to do

Looks great in your empty memory slots, bought a 32GB 16GB x 16GB kit and bought this kit to fill the slots as I have no need for more than see 32 GB for this computer. Maybe in 5-10 years, but now I highly doubt it. Looks good and works well through the software. Also, don't follow a user's feedback to place them in slots 1 and 4. Use either 1 and 3 or 2 and 4. This way you lose the dual channel memory setting. Just refer to your motherboard manual for where you should place your memory. Iโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • No performance

Great if you want to make your computer look better.

This expansion kit will only work if you already have Corsair RGB Pro RAM. Still, it's amazing how awesome your build is when you complete the RAM kit that has it. They look amazing and you won't be able to tell any difference from real DIMMs. Great for improving the looks of your PC if you don't want to shell out another hundred bucks for extra RAM. More companies should start doing this.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Some bugs
