I've tested a few S hooks here and found that a good way to determine the strength of a material is to put it in a vise and twist it. These Covery S hooks are springy and resist well. I rotated the top of the S 180 degrees and it's about 90 degrees from its original position. That's a lot of flexibility without breaking - more than these hooks will see in use.
